The skin sensitisation potential was initially assessed using read-across approach; however, the study results available were conflicting: considering the progression in the category, the extreme components of the category are considerd "non sensitizer" and "inconclusive for sensitisation", respectively. Therefore, the substance of interest (CAS 92045-41-5) was tested (LLNA test) in order to establish to which component of the category has to be considered more similar.
Based on experimental results, the substance causes skin sensitisation at estimed concentration of 81% so it has to be considered as weakly sensitizer.
Justification for classification or non-classification
According to Regulation 1272/2008 the substance has to be classified as category 1B skin sensitizer.
According to Directive 67/548/EEC the substance has to be classified as R43.
