The water solubility of COPPER DIBUTYLDITHIO CARBAMATE can be estimated to be < 1 µg/L. - Executive summary:
The water solubility of the test item COPPER DIBUTYLDITHIO CARBAMATE was assessed according to the OECD guideline 105. COPPER DIBUTYLDITHIO CARBAMATE appeared to be very difficult to test under the column method of OECD 105, as analysis revealed some erratic results due to test item uncontrolled particle release. Some results were thus considered as outlier values. The 30% variability a criterion of the guideline was thus not fulfilled; however some results can be used to estimate a water solubility value.
The mean values obtained at the 2 flow rates experiments are reported below:
Column 1 (12.5 mL/h), mean value: 0.22 µg/L
Column 2 (25 mL/h), mean value: 0.73 µg/L
Mean Value: 0.48 µg/L
Thus, as estimated by these results, the water solubility of COPPER DIBUTYLDITHIO CARBAMATE can be estimated to be < 1 µg/L.
During the analysis, the temperature was 20 +/- 0.5 °C and the pH was 6.5 to 7.
