Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

log Pow is expected to be negative, but greater than -2.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

The partition coefficient value is expected to be greater than -2, based on the fact that the logKow calculated for the lysozyme HCl salt is -2 (Livramento, 2003).

Furthermore logKow is expected to be negative, based on the results measured for enzymes; the following values supported this consideration:

- Subtilisin logPow: -3.1 [1-3]

- Amylase, lipase, cellulase logKow: -2.95 [2-3]
