Description of key information

NOELR (21d) > 10 mg/L (nominal, loading rate) for Daphnia magna (OECD 211, limit test)

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

One study investigating the long-term toxicity of Dipropylheptylcarbonate (CAS No. 1238449-42-7) to aquatic invertebrates is available. The study was conducted under semi-static conditions and according to GLP and OECD guideline 211 using Daphnia magna as test organism (BASF, 2012). A 10 mg/L loading rate WSF was applied in a limit test. No significant effects on mortality, reproduction or any other adverse effects on additional endpoints were observed in the treatment during a test period of 21 d. Thus, the NOELR (21d) is determined to be ≥ 10 mg/L based on the nominal concentration.
