Description of key information
Disperse Yellow 042 exists as yellow crystals, solid at 20 °C. No melting point could be determined up to decomposition temperature of 308 °C. The boiling point detected of the test substance could not be detected as decomposition started at approx. 308 °C. The density of the test substance was found to be 1.559 g/cm³. Mass median aerodynamic diameter was determined to be 181.8 µm. The vapour pressure study does not need to be conducted as the melting point of FAT 36014/Z is above 300 °C. The partition coefficient n-octanol/water of the test item at 20 °C, from the individual solubility in water and n-octanol, was determined to be 2.73 (log Pow). The water solubility of the test item at a temperature of 20 °C was determined to be 5.14 mg/L. The surface tension of FAT 36014/Z was determined to be 71.643 mN/m at room temperature ca 20 °C. The auto-ignition temperature of FAT 36014/C is 475 °C. FAT 36014/Z should be considered as not highly flammable. FAT 36014/Z is considered as neither explosive nor oxidising.
