Description of key information

72-hour EC50: >100 mg/L and NOEC:100 mg/L (nominal concentration) (highest concentration tested) effects of the test substance on growth rate of Pseudokirchneriella subcapitata.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

A 72-hour EC50 value of >100 mg/L and a NOEC value of 100 mg/L (nominal concentration) (highest concentration tested) have been determined for the effects of the test substance, Reaction Mass of bis(trimethoxysilylpropyl)methylphosphonate and (trimethoxysilylpropyl)methylmethylphosphonate, on growth rate of Pseudokirchneriella subcapitata, in accordance with OECD guideline 201. The test substance was pre-hydrolysed prior to test initiation, with analytical verification confirming complete hydrolysis, therefore the test organisms were exposed to the hydrolysis products of the test substance.
