Description of key information

Short-term toxicity to fish: 96 hr LC50 >100 mg/L (nominal) (highest concentration tested) (EPA 660/3-75-009 Methods for acute toxicity tests with fish, macroinvertebrates and amphibians, April 1975).

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

A 96-h E(L)C50 value of >100 mg/L (NOEC not reported) (nominal) (highest concentration tested) has been determined for the effects of the submission substance on mortality of Oncorhynchus mykiss (reported as Salmo gairdneri). In view of the test media preparation method/exposure regime, it is likely that the test organisms were exposed predominantly to the hydrolysis products of the test substance, although some parent is likely to have been present at the beginning of the test.
