Ecotoxicological information

Toxicity to aquatic algae and cyanobacteria

Administrative data

Endpoint:
toxicity to aquatic algae and cyanobacteria
Data waiving:
study technically not feasible
Justification for data waiving:
other:
Cross-reference
Reason / purpose for cross-reference:
reference to other study
Reference
Endpoint:
water solubility
Type of information:
experimental study
Adequacy of study:
key study
Study period:
Nov. 18, 2013 - Jan. 3, 2014
Reliability:
1 (reliable without restriction)
Rationale for reliability incl. deficiencies:
guideline study
Remarks:
The flask method is appropriate for UVCB substances. Because the substance appears insoluble in water, a limit test up to the dection limit of the analytical method was performed.
Qualifier:
according to guideline
Guideline:
OECD Guideline 105 (Water Solubility)
GLP compliance:
yes
Type of method:
flask method
Key result
Water solubility:
< 0.001 other: g/100 g
Temp.:
20 °C
Remarks on result:
other: pH not reported

Results

No test item was detected in the sample when analyzed by GC; the concentration in the test sample was reported to be less than the method detection limit of 90.4ppm. The water samples were extracted from 20 mL with 3 mL Hexane. This data was used to estimate the water solubility of the test item. The solubility in water of Sistema A10E-C/Cosmelike SA-10/Sugar Wax A-l OE was determined to be < 0.0014 g/100 g at a test temperature of 20 °C when analyzed by GC.
