Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Additional information

The WOE from the studies by Tremain, 2014 and Tremain, 2012 using the vapour pressure balance (effusion method) in accordance to OECD Guideline 104/EU Method A.4 is that the key vapour pressure value is 0.01 Pa at 25 °C. Vapour pressure values of 0.01 Pa at 25°C and and 0.457 Pa at 99°C were determined for magnesium C20 -24 sulfonate, and vapour pressure values of 0.012 Pa at 25°C, 0.039 Pa at 40°C, and 0.39 Pa at 70°C were obtained for calcium C15 -36 sulfonate. These studies show a clear temperature related response in vapour pressure: 0.01 Pa at 25°C (0.012 Pa at 25°C), 0.039 Pa at 40°C, 0.39 Pa at 70°C, and 0.457 Pa at 99°C.
