First-aid measures

General advice :

Take off immediately all contaminated clothing.

Inhalation :

Move patient from contaminated area to fresh air.

In case of persistent problems : Consult a physician.

Skin contact :

Remove any excess of product.

Wash immediately, abundantly and thoroughly with soap and water

Eye contact :

Wash open eyes immediately, abundantly and thoroughly for at least 15 minutes.

Seek advice of an ophthalmologist if necessary.

Ingestion :

Do NOT induce vomiting.

In case of problems : Consult a doctor.

Fire-fighting measures

Suitable extinguishing media :

    Foam, carbon dioxide, dry powder extinguishers.

    Use suitable means to extinguish neighbouring fires.

Specific hazards :

    Possible formation of carbon oxides, nitrogen oxides and hazardous organic compounds.

Specific methods :

    Use water spray to cool unopened containers.

    Collect contaminated fire extinguishing water separately. This must not be discharged into drains.

    Fire residues and contaminated fire extinguishing water must be disposed of in accordance with local regulations.

Special protective equipment for fire-fighters :

    In the event of fire, wear self-contained breathing apparatus.

Accidental release measures

Personal precautions :

    Prohibit all sources of sparks and ignition - Do not smoke.

    Use personal protective equipment.

    Ensure adequate ventilation.

    Avoid contact with the skin and the eyes.

Environmental precautions :

    Prevent product from entering drains.

Methods for cleaning up :

              Keep in suitable, closed containers for disposal.

    Recovery :

Contain spillage, and then collect with non-combustible absorbent material, (e.g. sand, earth, diatomaceous earth, vermiculite).

    Neutralisation :

              Wash the floor with copious quantities of water.

    Elimination :

              Place in container for disposal according to local / national regulations (see Disposal considerations).

Handling and storage

Handling

    Technical measures/Precautions :

              Provide water supplies, ocular fountains and showers near the point of use.

              Provide a catch-tank in a bunded area.

              Wear impermeable insulated gloves when handling hot.

    Safe handling advice :

Smoking, eating and drinking should be prohibited in the application area.

Provide fire-blanket nearby.

Storage

    Technical measures/Storage conditions :

Take all necessary measures to prevent accidental spillages of the product from entering into drains and water courses in the event of failure of containers or transfer systems.

Store the hermetically sealed drums protected from the weather in a well ventilated place with electrical installations conforming to regulations and without naked heat sources.

Keep the floor clean.

    Recommended : Stainless steel 316 L, mild steel.

    Materials to avoid : Aluminium and copper alloys.
