On the basis of the available data, the substance, if released into the environment, will mainly distribute into the aquatic compartment, where it is expected to biodegrade quite slowly (inherently, primary biodegradable, with a 27 % in 28 days). Hydrolysis is not expected to be a relevant removal pathway. In the aquatic environment, the substance is not expected to bioaccumulate in the aquatic organisms because of the low experimental logKow of -0.27.

The logKoc for the test material ranges from 1.78 to 2.37 and the substance is therefore expected to have medium to high mobility in soil. The half-life of the biodegradation in soil was found to be 137 days. The biodegradation of the similar substance in water (sewage treatment simulation testing) was evaluated according to the OECD Guideline 303A (Simulation Test - Aerobic Sewage Treatment. A: Activated Sludge Units). In this assay the biological removal of the substance is of 67.3 % after 21 days.

If released in the atmosphere, the substance is not expected tobe present as vapour, basing on a vapour pressure of 2.9 x 10 -11Pa (water: 3200 Pa at 25°C).
