First-aid measures

Skin Contact: Wash affected skin with soap and water. Seek medical attention if symptoms persist.

Eye Contact: Flush eyes with large amounts of water for at least 20 minutes. If irritation persists, consult a physician.

Ingestion: Seek medical advice.

Inhalation: Person should be moved to a fresh air environment.

Fire-fighting measures

As in any fire, wear a self-contained breathing apparatus in pressure-demand, MSHA/NIOSH (approved or equivalent), and full protective gear. During a fire, irritating and highly toxic gases may be generated by thermal decomposition or combustion.

Extinguishing Media In case of fire, use water, dry chemical, chemical foam, or alcohol-resistant foam.

Accidental release measures

Steps to be taken in Case Material is Released or Spilled Dike and contain the spill with inert material (i.e., sand, earth, sawdust) and transfer liquid and solid diking material to separate containers for recovery or disposal. Wash floor area with hot water solution. Remove contaminated clothing and wash before reuse. Wash affected skin areas with soap and water. Keep spills out of all sewers and bodies of water.

Handling and storage

Any use of this product in an elevated process, should be evaluated to establish and maintain safe operating procedures. Keep from contact with oxidizing materials.

Containers should be kept tightly closed and stored in a dry well-ventilated place.

Exposure controls / personal protection

Exposure controls

Appropriate engineering controls:

- Use process enclosures, local exhaust ventilation, or other engineering controls to control airborne levels below recommended exposure limits.

Individual protection measures, such as personal protective equipment

Respiratory protection

- Use respirators and components tested and approved under appropriate government standards such as NIOSH.

Eye protection

- Wear safety goggles as follow if eye irritation or other disorder occur.

-- In case of gaseous state organic material: enclosed safety goggles

-- In case of vapour state organic material: safety goggles or breathable safety goggles

-- In case of particulate material: breathable safety goggles

- An eye wash unit and safety shower station should be available nearby work place.

Hand protection

- Wear appropriate protective gloves by considering physical and chemical properties of chemicals.

Body protection

- Wear appropriate protective clothing by considering physical and chemical properties of chemicals.

Stability and reactivity

Reactivity/Chemical stability/Possibility of hazardous reactions:

- Fire may produce irritating and/or toxic gases.

- If inhaled, may be harmful.

Conditions to avoid:

- Keep away from heat/sparks/open flames/hot surfaces.

- No smoking.

Incompatible materials:

- Combustion materials.

Hazardous decomposition products: Irritating, toxic gases.

Disposal considerations

Disposal method:

Waste must be disposed of in accordance with federal, state and local environmental control regulation.

Disposal precaution:

Consider the required attentions in accordance with waste treatment management regulation.
