Applicant's summary and conclusion

Conclusions:
The GLP study was performed according to EU method A.16. Therefore reliability of Klimisch 1 has been assigned. The substance does not reach 400 °C by self-heating under the conditions of the test. So, the test item 3-(2-Benzothiazolylthio)-propanesulfonic acid, sodium salt (ZPS) is considered as not auto-flammable up to the melting point of 320 °C under the test conditions.
Executive summary:

The auto ignition temperature of the test substance was determined in a GLP test according to EU method A.16.

The auto-flammability behaviour was determined by placing the test item into a stainless steel cube and heating from room temperature to an oven temperature of 330 °C with the ZPA-3 oven.

No increase in the temperature above 400 °C of the sample in comparison to that of the oven could be detected. The test item 3-(2-Benzothiazolylthio)-propanesulfonic acid, sodium salt (ZPS) is considered as not auto-flammable up to the melting point of 320.0 °C under the test conditions.

After the test was finished, the test item was carbonized and expanded.
