Guidance on Safe Use
Administrative data
First-aid measures
occasionally lifting the upper and lower eyelids. If irritation develops, get medical aid.
Skin: Wash with soap and water. If irritation or rash occurs, isolate from exposure. If rash
persists, seek medical attention.
Ingestion: If swallowed, give 2-4 cupfuls of milk or water and induce vomiting. Seek medical
attention if symptoms persist. Never induce vomiting by give anything by mouth to an
unconscious person.
Inhalation: Remove from exposure and move to fresh air immediately. If not breathing, give
artificial respiration. Seek medical attention if symptoms persist.
Fire-fighting measures
MSHA/NIOSH(approved or equivalent), and full protective gear. During a fire,
irritating and highly toxic gases may be generated by thermal decomposition or combustion.
Dust can be an explosion hazard when exposed to heat or flame.
Extinguishing Media: Use Class D fire extinguishing agents (dry power), mental powers, dry
sand, sodium chloride power, cement. Do not use water.
Accidental release measures
Spills/Leaks: If material in released or spilled. Ventilate the area of the spill. Eliminate all
ignition sources. Clean up using methods which avoid the generation of dusts. Such methods
include wet mopping or vacuuming assuring that the vacuum is equipped with the proper
filter to prevent airborne dust levels which exceed the PEL or TLV).If airborne dust is
generated, use the appropriate NIOSH approved.
Handling and storage
contact with eyes, skin, and clothing. Avoid ingestion and inhalation. Avoid possible sources
of heat and ignition.
Storage: Store in a tightly closed container. Store in a cool, dry, well-ventilated area away
from incompatible substances.

Exposure controls / personal protection
Eye: Wear appropriate chemical safety goggles.
Skin: Wear appropriate protective gloves to prevent skin exposure.
Clothing: Wear appropriate protective clothing to prevent skin exposure.
Respirators: Follow the OSHA respirator regulations found in 29 CFR 1910.134 or
European Standard EN 149. Use a NIOSH/MSHA or European Standard EN 149 approved
respirator if exposure limits are exceeded or if irritation or other symptoms are experienced.
Stability and reactivity
Conditions to Avoid: Incompatible materials, dust generation, high temperatures, ignition
sources.
Incompatibilities with Other Materials: Strong oxidizing agents, acids, bases.
Hazardous Decomposition Products: None.
Hazardous Polymerization: Will not occur.
