Classification justification according to CLP

Based on the data above, sodium ethylparaben is considered rapidly biodegradable. The acute aquatic toxicity LC50 is > 1 mg/L for all trophic levels. No chronic data are available for fish and invertebrates. The NOEC for P. subcapitata is > 1 mg/L. Therefore, sodium ethylparaben does not need to be classified and labelled as environmental hazard according to the Regulation (EC) No. 1272/2008 (CLP) and the Regulation (EU) No. 286/2011 (2ndATP).
