Description of key information

An explosivity study is waived on the grounds of being scientifically unjustified.
Dust explosivity:
99% of this substance has a particle size of more than 355 μm (42 mesh), so this product is not considered as Explosiveness under an usual Product condition. However, very fine particles mixed with air may cause dust explosion in the presence of an ignition source at about 30 g/m3.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Explosiveness:
non explosive

Additional information

An explosivity study is waived on the grounds that the substance does not include the atomic groups associated with explosivity potential (REACH Guidance Chapter R.7a Table R.7.1 -28).

Dust explosivity:

99% of this substance has a particle size of more than 355 μm (42 mesh), so this product is not considered as Explosiveness under an usual Product condition. However, very fine particles mixed with air may cause dust explosion in the presence of an ignition source at about 30 g/m3.

Justification for classification or non-classification

This substance is not classified as explosive based on structual related consideration and dust explosion test result under normal storage condition.
