The test item shows no melting of the main component up to 184 °C, according to the definition in the OECD Guideline 102 (mean value from repeat determination).

From 184 °C the test item shows an endothermic effect (decomposition presumably - a melting > 184 °C can't be excluded).

 

The possible decomposition temperatures according to

- the melting results (184 °C)

- the boiling results (192 °C - see section 4.3)

differ due to different measuring conditions (melting - capsulated crucible / boiling- partially capsulated).

 

The cooling runs do not show a crystallization of the main component.

 

At approximately 49 °C the test item shows an endothermic effect. This effect is possibly melting of a part component and / or a solid-solid phase transformation.

In the temperature range between about 82 °C and 94 °C the test item shows a further endothermic effect. This effect is possibly melting of a part component, evaporating of a part component and / or a solid to solid phase transformation.

These effects do not correlate with the melting of the test item (main component) which was verified by subsequent tests with the Kofler-heating bank.
