Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

Additional information

Data for the physico-chemical properties were provided based on studies for the following endpoints: melting and boiling points, relative density, vapor pressure, partition coefficient, water solubility, flash point, flammability.

The results of the studies are reported in the endpoint summary as well as in the accompanying IUCLID database. Data for several endpoints were waived due to intrinsic properties or based on the criteria as laid down in regulation (EC) 1907/2008 Annex VII/IX column 2 or Annex XI.

The substance is a white solid, slighltly soluble in water, with low vapour pressure. No surface-activity nor dissociation are anticipated under environmental conditions.

It is NOT considered as hazardous with regard to physical hazards (flammability, explosivity, oxidising properties).

Summary of relevant physico-chemical properties:

Endpoint

Data

Appearance

Water solubility

0.3 mg/L at 20°C (in pure water).

Considered as slightly soluble.

In natural medium, ca 0.02 mg/L.

Flammability

Not flammable (flash point = 160°C).

No ignition if contact with a flame.

No flammable properties expected if contact with air or water (based on chemical structure and experience).

Explosive properties

No explosive properties anticipated (based on chemical structure assessment).

Oxidising properties

No oxidising properties anticipated (based on chemical structure assessment).

Stability in organic solvents  Not expected to be critical. No instability observed when testing.
 Dissociation constant  No ionisable function.
