First-aid measures
Emergency measure - Eyes: Flush with plenty of water for at least 15 minutes.
Emergency measure - Skin: Wash with water.
Emergency measure - Ingestion: Give water and seek medical attention.
Fire-fighting measures
Recommended extinguishing agent: Use water spray, dry chemical or carbon dioxide; wear a
self-contained breathing apparatus and protective clothing
to prevent contact with skin and eyes. Combustion products
may contain carbon and nitrogen oxides together with some
hydrogen chloride gas and soot.
Accidental release measures
Emergency measures in case of spillage: Sweep up material and package for safe feed to an
incinerator. Dispose of in an approved incinerator or
contract with a licensed chemical waste-disposal agency.
Handling and storage
Handling: Mixtures containing the substance will be prepared in a
well-ventilated vessel and transferred to closely
controlled automated processing equipment. Potential
exposure is anticipated only during the addition of the
chemical to the mixing tank. Keep from contact with
oxidising materials. Use good industrial hygiene
procedures.

Danger other than fire: May react with strong oxidisers.
Disposal considerations
Industry - Possibility of recovery/recycling: Recovery of the substance is not practicable
Industry - Possibility of neutralisation: No adverse effects are observed in the tests; therefore,
neutralisation is not necessary.
Industry - Possibility of destruction: controlled discharge: Not recommended.
Industry - Possibility of destruction - incineration: A temperature of 1200 deg C is expected to be sufficient to
destroy the chemical. Treatment of the waste gas is
necessary as carbon and nitrogen oxides together with
hydrogen chloride gas may be formed.
Industry - Possibility of destruction - water purification: The substance would probably not be destroyed by water
purification systems. However, there is an indication of
some degradation by an abiotic mechanism. The substance
should not be allowed to enter sewage treatment plants.
Public at large - Possibility of recovery/recycling: The substance will not enter the public domain.
