Data platform availability banner - registered substances factsheets

Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

First-aid measures

Emergency measure - Inhalation: Vapour pressure is very low. Vapour inhalation under ambient

conditions is normally not a problem. If overcome by vapour

from hot product, immediately remove from exposure and seek

medical attention.

Emergency measure - Eyes: If lubricant gets into the eyes, flush with clear water for

15 minutes or until irritation subsides. If irritation

persists, call a physician.

Emergency measure - Skin: In case of skin contact, remove any contaminated clothing

and wash skin with soap and water. If signs of discomfort,

seek medical advice.

Emergency measure - Ingestion: Seek medical attention immediately.

Fire-fighting measures

Recommended extinguishing agent: Foam, water spray (fog), dry chemical, carbon dioxide and

vaporizing liquid type extinguishing agents may all be

suitable for extinguishing fires.

Product arising from burning: Combustion products will include small quantities of

aldehyde, ketone and oxides of carbon and nitrogen as well

as decomposition products from partial combustion.

Product determined by test: N

Protective equipment: Self contained breathing apparatus, gloves and goggles. The

final product may contain other additives for which greater

precautions may be appropriate.

Accidental release measures

Emergency measures in case of spillage: Recover free product. Add sand, earth, or other absorbent to

spill area. Minimize skin contact. Keep product out of

sewers and watercourses by diking or impounding. Place

contained spill in suitable labelled container and dispose

of as chemical waste in accordance with local regulations.

Handling and storage

Handling: Chemical resistant gloves, goggles, and chemical-resistant

apron or other impervious clothing are recommended to avoid

prolonged or repeated skin contact or exposure.

Storage: Store in original container in a place where leakage will

not cause discharge directly into the environment but in a

place where accidental spillage can be contained.

Packaging of the substance and or preparation: Maximum packaging size is 55 US gallons.

Disposal considerations

Industry - Possibility of recovery/recycling: The substance is not considered to be suitable for

recycling.

Industry - Possibility of neutralisation: Not considered to be applicable.

Industry - Possibility of destruction: controlled discharge: Not considered to be a suitable method of disposal in view

of poor biodegradability and potential to accumulate.

Industry - Possibility of destruction - incineration: Recommended method for disposal. Stack gases must be

scrubbed.

Industry - Possibility of destruction - water purification: The substance will not stay in solution and is considered to

quickly adsorb onto any organic material present. Not

considered to be an appropriate method of disposal.

Public at large - Possibility of recovery/recycling: The substance will not enter the public domain
