PHYSICO-CHEMICAL PROPERTIES
- Melting point:113.2 °C
- Boiling point:400 °C
- density: 1.21
- Vapour pressure: 0.01 Pa at 95 °C
- Water solubility (under test conditions): 5.9 mg/L
- log Pow: 2.91
- pH dependance on stability: Less than 10% hydrolysis was observed after 5 days at 50 C at pH4 and pH7.
OTHER PROPERTIES (if relevant for this endpoint)
- Adsorption characteristics: log Koc= 4.69
- Toxicity to microorganisms: EC50/LC50= 5.9 mg/L
IC50 Concentration in mg/l: 30 minutes: >5.9 NOEC (mg/l): 30 minutes: 5.9A supersaturated solution of the substance was generated using 50mg in 500ml. This is well in excess of solubility and would have resulted in a maximum dissolved eoncentration of 5.9mg/l (but is likely ,to have been considerably lower by comparison with the concentrations achieved in the other tests carried out on the substance). No effects were seen on respiration of the sludge at the maximum attainable concentration.
