Description of key information
The partition coefficient n-octanol / water (Kow) of 1,3,3-trimethyl-N-(2-methylpropylidene)-5-[(2-methylpropylidene)amino]cyclohexanemethylamine was determined according to OECD guideline no. 117 [2004] and EU test method A.8 [2008] with the HPLC method. The result was:
Partition coefficient n-octanol / water (Kow) at 25 °C: Kow = 158489 / log Kow = 5.2 (at pH 7.5).

Additional information
There are no data available on the bioaccumulation potential of 1,3,3-trimethyl-N-(2-methylpropylidene)-5-[(2-methylpropylidene)amino]cyclohexanemethylamine in aquatic organisms. As a first screening tool the log Kow is used. The value is 5.2 which indicates a potential for bioaccumulation. In contrary the rapid hydrolysis of the substance suggests that such partitioning is of low relevance for the environmental distribution and fate of the substance.
