Calibration data are presented in Table 1; the calibration line was established linearly with 1/X weighting. Analytical data are presented in Tables 2 to 4 for distilled water, water buffered to pH 4 and water buffered to pH 9 respectively.

Two incubation baths were used and were constant at temperatures of 19.8 °C and 20.0 °C over the test period.

Applicant's summary and conclusion

Conclusions:
The solubility of test substances at 20°C was determined by the shake flask method to be:
1.4 g/L (coefficient of variation = 1.9%) in water
1.3 g/L (coefficient of variation = 3.8%) in water buffered to pH 4
1.3 g/L (coefficient of variation = 2.7%) in water buffered to pH 9
There was no influence of pH on the water solubility.
Executive summary:

The water solubility of the test item was determined in an experimental study according to OECD Test Guideline 105 and EU Method A.6. The water solubility was determined at pH 4, pH 9 and in unbuffered water. No influence of the pH or the stirring time could be detected. The water solubility of the test item was determined to be 1.4 g/L in unbuffered aqueous solution at 20 °C.
