Results and discussion

Any other information on results incl. tables

Preliminary Test

About 34 g of the test item were used to form the test sample. The test was started by trying to ignite the sample at one end with a gas flame. During the ignition period of 2 minutes no burning or glowing over the length of the sample was observed. After removal of the ignition source no independent burning of the test item was observed. No smoke was observed.

Applicant's summary and conclusion

Interpretation of results:
non flammable
Remarks:
Migrated information
Conclusions:
The flammability of the test item Synthetic cubic Boron Nitride Grade 2 (2 micron) Powder was determined following EC method A.10. Since no burning or glowing was observed in the preliminary test, the test item does not have to be classified as a flammable (readily combustible) solid according to REGULATION (EC) No 127212008 (CLP) and UN Recommendations on the Transport of Dangerous Goods, Manual of Test and Criteria.
Executive summary:

Discussion and Conclusions

The aim of the study was the determination of the flammability of Synthetic cubic Boron Nitride Grade 2 (2 micron) Powder. Since no burning or glowing over the length of the pile was observed the test item was classified as "not highly flammable". Since no burning or glowing was observed in the preliminary test, the test item does not have to be classified as a flammable (readily combustible) solid according to REGULATION (EC) No 1272/2008 (CLP) and UN Recommendations on the Transport of Dangerous Goods, Manual of Test and Criteria.
