Guidance on Safe Use
Administrative data
First-aid measures
If inhaled: Move person into fresh air. Keep person warm and rest
In case of skin contact: Take off contaminated clothing and shoes. Wash off with soap and plenty of water.
In case of eye contact: Immediately flush eye(s) with plenty of water. Check for and remove any contact lenses. Get medical attention if irritation occurs.
If swallowed: Rinse mouth with water.
Fire-fighting measures
Extinguishing media
Suitable extinguishing media: In case of fire, use water spray (fog), foam, dry chemical or CO2.
Special hazards arising from the substance: No specific fire or explosion hazard
Special protective equipment for fire-fighters: In the event of fire, wear self-contained breathing apparatus.
Further information: Collect contaminated fire extinguishing water separately. This must not be discharged into drains. Fire residues and contaminated fire extinguishing water must be disposed of in accordance with local regulations.
Accidental release measures
Accidental release measures
Personal precautions, protective equipment and emergency procedures
Personal precautions: Keep unnecessary and unprotected personnel from entering. Provide adequate ventilation. Put on appropriate personal protective equipment. Avoid dust formation.
Environmental precautions
Environmental precautions: Do not flush into surface water or sanitary sewer system.
Methods and materials for containment and cleaning up
Methods for cleaning up: Vacuum or sweep up material and place in a designated, labelled waste container. Dispose of via a licensed waste disposal contractor.
Use mechanical handling equipment: Keep in suitable, closed containers for disposal.
Handling and storage
Precautions for safe handling
Do not handle until all safety precautions have been read and understood. Avoid breathing dust. Wash hands and other exposed areas with mild soap and water before eat, drink or smoke and when leaving work. Use personal protective equipment as required.
Technical protective measures: Provide adequate ventilation to minimize dust concentrations.
Conditions for safe storage, including any incompatibilities:
Keep only in the original container in a cool, dry, well-ventilated place. Keep container closed when not in use.
Storage - away from: Strong bases. Strong acids.

Exposure controls / personal protection
Personal protective equipment:
Respiratory protection: In case of insufficient ventilation, wear suitable Dust-protection mask.
Hand protection: Protective gloves
Eye protection: Safety glasses
Skin and body protection: Protective suit
Hygiene measures: Wash hands, forearms and face thoroughly after handling chemical products, before eating, smoking and using the lavatory and at the end of the working period. Appropriate techniques should be used to remove potentially contaminated clothing. Wash contaminated clothing before reusing. Ensure that eyewash stations and safety showers are close to the workstation location.
Environmental exposure controls
General advice: Do not flush into surface water or sanitary sewer system.
Stability and reactivity
Hazardous reactions: No hazardous reaction known under normal conditions of use .
Conditions to avoid: Stable under recommended storage conditions
Hazardous decomposition products: None under normal conditions of use.
Disposal considerations
Waste treatment methods:
Product: Offer surplus and non-recyclable solutions to a licensed disposal company. Dispose of in accordance with the European Directives on waste and hazardous waste.
Contaminated packaging: Empty remaining contents. Empty containers should be taken to an approved waste handling site for recycling or disposal.
