PBT assessment: overall result

PBT status:
the substance is not PBT / vPvB
Justification:

The PBT Assessment is based on the criteria set out in the “Guidance on information requirements and chemical safety assessment, Chapter R.11: PBT Assessment” (ECHA, 2017).

Persistence (P) Assessment:

The substance diphosphoric acid, compound with 1,3,5-triamine (1:2) is not readily biodegradable according to OECD criteria. Based on the available data the substance is considered Persistent (P) or very Persistent (vP).

Bioaccumulation (B) Assessment:

Based on the very low experimentally determined log Pow (log Pow -1.24 at 20°C, OECD 107) bioaccumulation of the substance is not expected.

Toxicity (T) Assessment:

The substance diphosphoric acid, compound with 1,3,5-triamine (1:2)  (acute E(L)C50 > 0.1 mg/L, NOEC (96 h) > 0.01 mg/L). The substance is furthermore not classified as carcinogenic, mutagenic or toxic for reproduction nor is there any evidence of chronic toxicity according to the consolidated version of Regulation (EC) No. 1272/2008 (CLP) considering all further amendments. The criteria for “T” are therefore not met.
