Endpoint:
surface tension
Type of information:
experimental study
Adequacy of study:
key study
Study period:
28.8.2017
Reliability:
1 (reliable without restriction)
Rationale for reliability incl. deficiencies:
test procedure in accordance with generally accepted scientific standards and described in sufficient detail
Qualifier:
equivalent or similar to guideline
Guideline:
OECD Guideline 115 (Surface Tension of Aqueous Solutions)
Principles of method if other than guideline:
The room temperature was +23 ºC and the equipment, water and the sample were allowed set
to room temperature several hours before measurement.
The ring of the equipment was cleaned by gas flame torch before analysis and let cool.
The equipment was checked before analysis by room temperature (23 ºC) pure water.
The 2 replicated analysis were measures for the sample and the results were 71.0 and 69.5.
GLP compliance:
no
Other quality assurance:
ISO/IEC 17025 (General requirements for the competence of testing and calibration laboratories)
Type of method:
OECD harmonised ring method
Specific details on test material used for the study:
Fain 3, batch 406-407
Key result
Surface tension:
ca. 70 mN/m
Temp.:
23 °C
Conc.:
40 vol%
Conclusions:
Surface tension of the sample is 70 mn/m
Executive summary:

Surface tension of the sample is 70 mn/m
