Data platform availability banner - registered substances factsheets
Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.
The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Administrative data
First-aid measures
Emergency measure - Inhalation: Remove patient to fresh air, seek medical attention.
Emergency measure - Eyes: Rinse immediately with plenty of water for at least 15
minutes, seek immediate medical advice.
Emergency measure - Skin: Wash immediately with soap and water.
Emergency measure - Ingestion: Seek immediate medical advice.
Fire-fighting measures
Recommended extinguishing agent: Water, foam, carbon dioxide or dry powder may be used. Spray
containers with water to keep cool and inhibit ignition.
Contain fire-fighting water, bunding if necessary with sand
or earth.
Product arising from burning: Products of combustion may contain oxides of carbon and
nitrogen together with hydrogen fluoride and hydrogen
chloride.
Product determined by test: N
Protective equipment: A self contained breathing apparatus should be worn.
Accidental release measures
Emergency measures in case of spillage: Wear suitable protective clothing (see 2.3.1). Decontaminate
protective equipment, where this is not feasible dispose of
as contaminated waste. Sweep up spill or preferably collect
using an industrial vacuum cleaner. Transfer to containers
and dispose of by incineration in accordance with local
regulations. Do not allow spill to enter drains or water
systems. If contamination occurs inform the local
authorities.
Handling and storage
Handling: Observe the usual precautions when handling organic
chemicals. Avoid ingestion, inhalation and contact with
skin. Suitable protective clothing, gloves (PVC or nitrile),
boots (PVC or rubber wellingtons) and safety goggles
(BS 2092) should be worn. Ensure adequate ventilation and
wear suitable respiratory equipment (only devices with the
necessary Nominal Protection Factor (BS 4275) should be
used).
Storage: Store in suitable containers away from foodstuffs.

Disposal considerations
Industry - Possibility of recovery/recycling: Recovery for recycling is not feasible.
Industry - Possibility of neutralisation: None known.
Industry - Possibility of destruction: controlled discharge: Not recommended.
Industry - Possibility of destruction - incineration: Recommended method at a suitable facility, using
temperatures of greater than 1100 deg C for a minimum
3 seconds residence time. Waste gas treatment to remove
oxides of nitrogen and hydrogen chloride and hydrogen
fluoride gas should be fitted. (A661)
Industry - Possibility of destruction - water purification: Not recommended.
Public at large - Possibility of recovery/recycling: The substance itself and preparations containing it will not
enter the public domain at the present time. The substance
and preparations containing it will only enter the public
domain once use has been approved by the appropriate
authorities.
