Description of key information

The substance is not readily biodegradable (OECD 301 F; GLP).

Additional information

Due to the information available from an experimental study according to OECD 301F performed compliant with GLP it is concluded that the substance is not readily biodegradable (0% biodegradation within 28 days based on ThOD).

Comparing the absolute oxygen demand measured in inoculum controls (n=2) with test item flasks (n=2) during days 1 to 15, pronouncedly lower values are found in the presence of test item (ca. 103 mg/L initial concentration). This may indicate microorganism toxicity of the test item at the concentration applied. As such, lack of biodegradability due to microorganism toxicity of the test item under the conditions of this test cannot be excluded.

No further tests on biodegradability are available for the test item.
