First-aid measures
4.1 Description of first aid measures
General advice In the case of accident or if you feel unwell, seek medical advice
immediately (show the label where possible).
Inhalation Move the victim to fresh air and keep at rest. In case of respiratory
arrest induce breathing with a respiratory device. Seek medical advice.
Skin contact Take off contaminated clothing and shoes immediately. Wash off
immediately with soap and plenty of water. Start medical treatment
immediately.
Eye contact Rinse immediately with plenty of water, also under the eyelids, for at
least 15 minutes. Eye treatment by an ophthalmologist.
Ingestion Do NOT induce vomiting. Never give anything by mouth to an
unconscious person. Rinse mouth. Call a physician or poison control
center immediately.
4.2 Most important symptoms and effects, both acute and delayed
Symptoms Breathing difficulties, Headache, Nausea
4.3 Indication of any immediate medical attention and special treatment needed
Treatment Treat symptomatically.
Fire-fighting measures
5.1 Extinguishing media
Suitable Use water spray, alcohol-resistant foam, dry chemical or carbon
dioxide.
Unsuitable High volume water jet
5.2 Special hazards arising
from the substance or
mixture
Dangerous gases are evolved in the event of a fire., In the event of fire
the following may be released:, Carbon monoxide (CO), Carbon
dioxide (CO2), Nitrogen oxides (NOx), Hydrogen fluoride
5.3 Advice for firefighters
Special protective
equipment for firefighters
In the event of fire, wear self-contained breathing apparatus.
Further information Cool closed containers exposed to fire with water spray.
Accidental release measures
6.1 Personal precautions, protective equipment and emergency procedures
Precautions Use personal protective equipment. Ensure adequate ventilation.
Remove all sources of ignition. Evacuate and isolate spill area.
6.2 Environmental
precautions
Retain and dispose of contaminated wash water. Do not allow to get
into surface water, drains and ground water.
6.3 Methods and materials for containment and cleaning up
Methods for cleaning up Sweep up or vacuum up spillage and collect in suitable container for
disposal.
6.4 Reference to other
sections
Information regarding waste disposal, see section 13.
Handling and storage
This substance is handled under Strictly Controlled Conditions in accordance with REACH regulation Article 17(3) for on-site isolated intermediates and, in case the substance is transported to other sites for further processing, the substance should be handled at these sites under the Strictly Controlled Conditions as specified in REACH regulation Article 18(4). Site documentation to support safe handling arrangements including the selection of engineering, administrative and personal protective equipment controls in accordance with risk-based management systems is available at each manufacturing site.
Written confirmation of application of Strictly Controlled Conditions has been received from every affected Distributor and Downstream Processor/User of the Registrant’s intermediate. "
7.1 Precautions for safe handling
Advice on safe handling Avoid contact with skin, eyes and clothing.
Advice on protection
against fire and explosion
Keep away from heat and sources of ignition. Take measures to prevent
the build up of electrostatic charge.
Hygiene measures Avoid contact with skin, eyes and clothing. When using, do not eat, drink
or smoke.
7.2 Conditions for safe storage, including any incompatibilities
Requirements for storage
areas and containers
Keep containers tightly closed in a cool, well-ventilated place.
Advice on common storage Keep away from food, drink and animal feedingstuffs.
