Description of first aid measures

General advice

:

Remove contaminated or soaked clothing immediately and dispose of safely.

Immediate medical attention is required.

If inhaled

:

Bring affected person outside and ensure that he/she is com-fortable.

In case of skin contact

:

Wash off with plenty of water and soap immediately.

Call a physician immediately.

In case of eye contact

:

Rinse thoroughly with plenty of water, also under the eyelids.

Immediate further treatment in ophthalmic hospital/ ophthal-

mologist.

If swallowed

:

Rinse out mouth.

Drink 1 or 2 glasses of water.

Do NOT induce vomiting.

Call a physician immediately.

None known.

4.3 Indication of any immediate medical attention and special treatment needed

Fire-fighting measures

5.1 Extinguishing media

Suitable extinguishing media

:

Water spray, foam, CO2, dry powder.

5.2 Special hazards arising from the substance or mixture

Hazardous combustion prod-ucts

:

Carbon oxides

nitrous gases

5.3 Advice for firefighters

Special protective equipment for firefighters

:

In the case of fire, wear respiratory protective equipment in-dependent of surrounding air and chemical protective suit.

Further information

:

In case of fire cool containers or take them to a safe place. To cool, spray closed containers with water spray jet.

Accidental release measures

6.1 Personal precautions, protective equipment and emergency procedures

Personal precautions

:

Wear personal protective equipment; see section 8.

Ensure adequate ventilation.

Beware of vapours accumulating to form explosive concentra-tions. Vapours can accumulate in low areas.

6.2 Environmental precautions

Environmental precautions

:

Prevent further leakage or spillage if safe to do so.

Product or extinguishing water with product must not be al-lowed to enter soil, sewers or natural bodies of water.

6.3 Methods and material for containment and cleaning up

Methods for cleaning up

:

Absorb with liquid-binding material, e. g.: diatomaceous earth, sand, universal binder

Keep in suitable, closed containers for disposal.

Handling and storage

7.1 Precautions for safe handling

Advice on safe handling

:

Handle in accordance with good industrial hygiene and safety practice.

Ensure adequate ventilation.

Advice on protection against fire and explosion

:

Take precautionary measures against static discharges. Keep away from open flames, hot surfaces and sources of ignition. Do not smoke. Earth all equipment Explosion-proof installa-tions required. No sparking tools should be used.

Hygiene measures

:

Do not inhale vapours / aerosols. Contact with skin, eyes and clothes must be strictly avoided Remove contaminated or saturated clothing immediately and dispose of safely. Do not eat, drink, smoke, or sniff while at work. Wash your hands and/or face before breaks and before termination of work. Keep away from food, drink and animal feedingstuffs.

7.2 Conditions for safe storage, including any incompatibilities

Requirements for storage areas and containers

:

Keep containers tightly closed in a cool, well-ventilated place. Avoid heat effect and sources of ignition.

Storage class (TRGS 510)

:

3, Flammable liquids
