PBT assessment: overall result

PBT status:
the substance is not PBT / vPvB
Justification:

The substance was found to have a good potential to biodegrade without fulfilling the 10 day window criterion. In addition, the substance was found to be inherently biodegradable in seawater with an OECD 306 and a Marine Bodis test. The Log Kow was found to be <0 which indicate a low potential to bioaccumulate. The substance was not found to be toxic to marine or freshwater organisms; it was not classified as carcinogenic (category 1A or 1B), germ cell mutagenic (category 1 or 1B), or toxic for reproduction (category 1A, 1B or 2), in accordance with EU CLP criteria; and there was no evidence of chronic toxicity or specific target organ toxicity. The substance is therefore not classified as PBT or vPvB.
