Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

Highly flammable solid (A.10): N

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

The available information suggests that the substance is not a flammable solid. We considered that the quoted text in the ECHA CHEM database "Highly flammable solid (A.10): N" means "Highly flammable solid (A.10): No".

The reliability of the study was judged as not assignable (score 4) because of the lack of study details. This would represent an obstacle to use the studies results for the classification and labelling (C&L) of the substance. However, the study was previously presented within the context of a regulatory framework and the lack of details available to us does not necessarily mean that it has to be discarded.

The study conclusion is in agreement with a publicly available information mentioned in an MSDS (document E in the Data finding report), where it is stated that the burning class of this substance is BZ1 (does not ignite). Since we were not able to verify this information through a study summary or a study report, it is shortly mentioned here and no longer discussed.

Even with the above mentioned limitations, the study was considered in order to provisionally define the C&L of the substance.

Justification for classification or non-classification

According to Directive 67/548/EEC and to Regulation (EC) n. 1272/2008, the substance should not be classified as flammable solid.
