Results and discussion

Flammable solids
Key result
Test procedure:
burning rate test: preliminary screening test
Burning time:
ca. 11.21 s

Applicant's summary and conclusion

Interpretation of results:
other: As the sponsor does not want to perform the determination of the burning rate a classification without deviations is not possible.
Conclusions:
After determination of the screening test, the test substance should be considered as highly flammable (for EU regulations) and flammable solid (for UN regulations), respectively, as the time of the screening test was very short . the test substance started to burn immediately after contact with the flame of the teclu burner. It was noted that the substance charred and very much yellow smoke was observed. Combustion along 200 mm took 11.21 seconds. As the sponsor does not want to perform the determination of the burning rate a classification without deviations is not possible.
Executive summary:

The flammability of the test substance was assessed by performing a not-GLP compliant study according to the EU method A.10.
