- Executive summary:
The toxicity of FAT 20035/C to activated sludge was determined in a 3 hours respiration inhibition test according to the EEC Method No. L 133/118 -122 and to the OECD Guideline No. 209. The test was performed in compliance with the Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) Regulations. The test substance concentrations tested were 320, 100, 32 and 10 mg/l. Based on the study results, IC20 (3 h) and IC50 (3 h) of FAT - 20035/C is 50 and 280.0 mg/L, respectively, while that of the reference substance 3,5-Dichlorophenol is 11.0 mg/l.

Additional information
A GLP-compliant study was conducted to determine the toxicity of FAT 20035/D to activated sludge in a 3 hours respiration inhibition test according to the OECD Guideline No. 209, and to the EEC Method No. L 87/302. The test was performed in compliance with the Good Laboratory Practice (GLP). The test substance concentrations tested were 320,100, 32 and 10 mg/l. The reference substance, 3,5-Dichlorophenol was tested in concentrations of 32, 10 and 3.2 mg/l. Based on the study results, the IC20 (3 h) and IC50 (3 h) of FAT 20035/D 30 and 181 mg/l, respectively, while that of reference substance 3,5-Dichlorophenol is 14 mg/l.
Another GLP study was conducted on FAT 20035/C to determined IC50 value in a 3-hours respiration inhibition test according to the EEC Directive L 133/118 and OECD guideline 209. The test substance concentrations tested were 320, 100, 32 and 10 mg/l. The results showed an IC50 (3 h) of the test substance FAT 20035/D as 280 mg/l.
In several other supporting studies, BST values greater than 300 mg/L were found.
