A study published in the peer reviewed literature on simulated atmospheric photodecomposition rates is available for propylene glycol methyl ether. The half-life time for photodegradation of propylene glycol methyl ether in air is 3.1 hours.

According to REACH Annex VIII column 2, hydrolysis testing can be waived for substances that are readily biodegradable. Hence, no hydrolysis test is required for propylene glycol methyl ether.
