Description of key information

Testing of effects to terrestrial organisms is not required according to REACH Annex IX, column 2, point 9.4, because (i) sodium (S)-lactate is not hazardous to aquatic organisms, which is extrapolated to the terrestrial compartment using the equilibrium partitioning method (EPM), and (ii) direct and indirect exposure of the soil compartment is unlikely.
