other: There was no melting point between -100°C and 50°C. There was a glass transition at -26°C.

No melting temperature was found between -100°C and 50°C. A reproducible glass transition was found at -26°C in the first heating. No other thermic processes were found. In order to survey the thermic behaviour of the test item a TGA-test (non-GLP) was run up to 700°C. An endothermic peak starting at about 300°C with the weight loss of about 100% shows the vaporization/decomposition of the test item.

Two studies were conducted to assess the melting point of the test substance. Both studies were considered reliable as they were conducted on the registered substance according to OECD Testing Guideline 102. No melting point was found between -100°C and 50°C. A glass transition was found at -26°C. An endothermic peak starting at about 300°C with the weight loss of about 100% shows the vaporization/decomposition of the test item. The supporting study reported a melting point of -36.9°C. There is no further information in the supporting study to determine whether this value refers to a true melting point, or to a glass transition. This information would be of help as the reported value is close to that of the glass transition reported in the key study.
