Description of key information
The test material attained 63% degradation after 28 days. Although test material failed to satisfy the 10-Day window , whereby 60% degradation must be attained within 10 days of the degradation exceeding 10%, the substance is a chemically modified UVCB and therefore the 10 -day window does not apply.

Biodegradation of fatty acids, tall oil, oligomeric reaction products with maleic anhydride and calcium magnesium zinc salts was assessed in a GLP-compliant study following OECD guideline 301B. After 28 days, the test item was degraded by 63% (Harlan Laboratories, 2010). Although the 10-day window criterion was not met this criterion is not relevant for UVCB substances and therefore this substance is considered to be readily biodegradable.
