Preliminary test

After the addition of 100 mL of buffer the test item was completely dissolved. Hence the preliminary test displayed solubility of the test item between 1 and 10 g/L. This is the case for all three buffer solutions.

When the test item is added aqueous solution, excess material is found at the surface of the aqueous solution. This makes it difficult to execute the flask method according to the guidelines, since the risk of contamination when taking an aliquot of the aqueous solution for analysis is too high. However, since the solubility is relatively high (1 to 10 g/L), the water solubility is determined using an extended preliminary test. This was done for all threee buffer solutions.

Conclusions:
Interpretation of results: soluble (1000-10000 mg/L)
The water solubility at 25ºC and pH 4: 2.96 g/L, pH 7: 2.65 g/L, pH 9: 2.59 g/L
Executive summary:

The water solubility test was done according to OECD 105. Flask method was used. The water solubility at 25ºC and pH 4 is 2.96 g/L, at pH 7 is 2.65 g/L and at pH 9 is 2.59 g/L.
