- The preliminary estimate of the water solubility at 20.0 ± 5 °C was 0.160 g/L (component 1) and ≤ 3.6 x 10E-05 g/L (component 2).

- Triplicate recoveries, at a nominal concentration of 0.10 mg/mL were carried out in separate funnels.
- Glass double distilled water (200 mL) was spiked with 2.0 mL of spiking solution (approximately 10 mg/L test item in 10 mM formic acid in methanol).
- Sodium chloride (5g) was added and the sample was swirled to dissolve the NaCl.
- A recovery blank was prepared similarly without including the test item.
- Recover samples and blanks were then treated as described previously (extraction with 3 x 25 mL dichloromethane etc).
- The standards, standard blank, recovery samples and recovery blanks were then analysed as described previously.
- At the nominal concentration of 0.10 mg/L, a mean percentage recovery of 41.2 % was obtained (range 28.7 to 49.9 %).
- It was consequently concluded that recovery analysis for the sample procedure was adequate for the test. - Conclusions:
- The water solubility (Daphnia medium) of the test item was determined to be < 1.0 x 10E-04 g/L at 20.0 ± 0.5 °C.
