Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Additional information

The vapour pressure of diethyl ether--boron trifluoride was measured within two BASF studies (2.35 hPa at 20°C; BRU 94.233 from 08.03.1994 and 2,5 hPa at 20°C; BRU 89.050 from 02.03.1989) which are both scientifically acceptable and were performed according to a BASF standard method (dynamic method). The vapour pressure was reported to be 2.7 hPa at 20°CmPa at 20°C in GESTIS which is a generally accepted data base based on experimental values.

Thus the vapour pressure derived from the BASF study BRU 94.233; 2.35 hPa at 20°C is regarded to be the most reliable for diethyl ether--boron trifluoride.
