Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Additional information

PNEC freshwater, marine water and intermittent release can be derived based on studies on acute toxicity of three trophic levels with toxicity to alga showing the lowest effect. PNEC sediment and soil were derived using the equilibrium partitioning method. There are no data indicating a hazard to air and due to the low log Kow there is no potential for bioaccumulation via secondary poisoning and no PNECs need to be derived.

Conclusion on classification

The lowest effect was determined with the study on acute toxicity to alga (149 mg/L). The substance has a very low log Kow of´-1.12, a very high water solubility of 10000 mg/L (soluble in each ratio) and is readily biodegradable.

Based on these data the substance is not classified acoording to EC No. 1272/2008 criteria.
