Short term toxicity to fish :

The Lethal Concentration (LC50) value of 2-(2-chloroethoxy)ethanol in fish Poecilia reticulata in a 96 hrs study was estimated to be 2876.71 mg/L. Thus,considering the CLP Criteria for aquatic classification of the substance , it is concluded that 2-(2-chloroethoxy)ethanol does not exhibit short term toxicity to fish [Poecilia reticulata]

Short term toxicity to aquatic invertebrate :

The Lethal Concentration (LC50) value of 2-(2-chloroethoxy)ethanol in Aquatic invertebrate Daphnia magna in a 48 hrs study was estimated to be 1003.905 mg/L. Thus,considering the CLP Criteria for aquatic classification of the substance , it is concluded that 2-(2-chloroethoxy)ethanol does not exhibit short term toxicity to Aquatic invertebrate [Daphnia magna]

Toxicity to aquatic algae and cynobacteria :

The No Observed Effect Concentration (NOEC) of 2-(2-chloroethoxy)ethanol in Aquatic algae (Pseudokirchnerella subcapitata) in 72 hrs study was estimated to be 150.4983 mg/l.

Toxicity to microorganism :

The IGC50 value of 2-(2-chloroethoxy)ethanol in microorganism (Tetrahymena pyriformis) in a 48 hrs study was estimated to be 5168.755 mg/L.
