First-aid measures

The manufacturing/use of the registered substance fulfils strictly controlled conditions. Therefore, no exposure of man or the environment is expected. In the case of accidental exposure, the following measures should be taken.

Eye contact

-  rinse immediately with tap water for 10 minutes - open eyelids forcibly

-  consult a physician

Skin contact

-  remove immediately contaminated clothes, wash

affected skin with water and soap - do not use any solvents

Inhalation

- remove the casualty to fresh air and keep him/her calm

- in the event of symptoms get medical treatment

Fire-fighting measures

The manufacturing/use of the registered substance fulfils strictly controlled conditions. Therefore, no exposure of man or the environment is expected. In the case of accidental exposure, the following measures should be taken.

Suitable extinguishing media : water spray jet, dry powder, foam, carbon dioxide

Unsuitable extinguishing media: full water jet

Specific hazards

- very high probability of ignition of dust whirled up

- formation of toxic and corrosive combustion gases (nitrogen oxides (NOx)) possible

- dust explosion hazard

Protection of fire-fighters

- precipitate gases/vapours/mists with water spray

- use self-contained breathing apparatus

Accidental release measures

The manufacturing/use of the registered substance fulfils strictly controlled conditions. Therefore, no exposure of man or the environment is expected. In the case of accidental exposure, the following measures should be taken.

Environmental protection

- do not allow to enter drains or waterways

- if the substance reaches waters or the sewer system, inform the competent authority

Methods for cleaning up

- collect solids (avoid dust formation) and hand over to waste removal

Handling and storage

Precautions for safe handling;

Technical measures

-avoid dust formation; very high dust explosion hazard

- connect conductive pieces of equipment, products and packaging to earth

- avoid electric charging of dust clouds

- handling under inert conditions

- take precautionary measures against electrostatic charging

- local exhaust ventilation necessary

Suitable materials

- glass, stainless steel (lined with polyethylene bag)

Conditions for safe storage

- in closed containers

- dry, cool and ventilated place

Exposure controls / personal protection

Exposure controls

Respiratory protection

- in case of open handling or accidental release: particle mask or respirator with independent air supply

Hand protection

- protective gloves (eg made of neoprene, nitrile or butyl rubber)

Eye protection

- safety glasses

Body protection

- connect persons to earth by means of conductive shoes and

conductive floor

Avoid contact with eyes, skin or clothing. Do not breathe dust or vapours. During work do not eat, drink or smoke.

Stability and reactivity

Stability:

- stable under normal conditions

Conditions to avoid:

- temperatures above 60 °C

Materials to avoid:

- stron oxidizing agents

Hazardous decomposition products:

- combustion will generate carbon- and nitrogen oxides

Disposal considerations

Waste treatment methods:

- observe local/national regulations regarding waste disposal
