First-aid measures

If inhaled: Remove from exposure and move to fresh air immediately. If breathing is difficult, give

oxygen. Get medical aid.

In case of skin contact: Immediately wash off skin with soap and plenty of water while removing contaminated clothing

and shoes. Wash clothing before reuse. Get medical aid.

In case of eye contact: Immediately flush eyes with plenty of water for at least 15 minutes, occasionally lifting the upper

and lower eyelids. Get medical aid.

If swallowed: Never give anything by mouth to an unconscious person. Get medical aid. Do NOT induce

vomiting. If conscious and alert, rinse mouth and drink 2-4 cupfuls of milk or water.

Fire-fighting measures

1. General information:

As in any fire, wear a self-contained breathing apparatus and full protective gear.

During a fire, irritating and highly toxic gases may be generated by thermal decomposition or combustion.

2. Extinguishing media:

water spray, dry chemical, carbon dioxide, alcohol-resistant foam or chemical foam

3. Advice for firefighters

Wear self -contained breathing apparatus for firefighting and full protective gear.

Accidental release measures

1. Personal precautions, protective equipment and emergency procedures

Use proper personal protective equipment. Ensure adequate ventilation. Avoid breathing vapors, mist or gas. Evacuate personnel to safe areas.

2. Environmental precautions

Do not let this chemical enter the drains and observing precautions in the Protective Equipment section.

3. Methods and materials for containment and cleaning up

Absorb spill with inert material (e. g. vermiculite, sand or earth), then place in suitable container. Ensure adequate ventilation.

4. Reference to other sections

For disposal see section 13 of safety data sheet (disposal considerations).

Handling and storage

1. Precautions for safe handling

Wash thoroughly after handling. Use chemical resistant gloves, eye protection and protective clothing should be worn.

Operations should be carried out in efficient fume hood or equivalent system. Use adequate ventilation. Avoid breathing mist

or vapor. Avoid contact with eyes, skin, and clothing. Wash clothing before reuse. Avoid ingestion and inhalation.

2. Conditions for safe storage including any incompatibilities

Store in cool and dry place and protect from sunlight. Keep container tightly closed in a  well ventilated place.

The substance must be handled under strictly controlled conditions as laid out in Article 18 paragraph 4 REACH-regulation.

DETAILED information on risk management measures recommended to the user in accordance with Art. 18 paragraph 4 and ECHA REACH Guidance on intermediates (2010), Annex 3 is attached to section 13 of the IUCLID dossier.
