Administrative data

First-aid measures

Upon Inhalation: after inhalation take the patient into fresh air. If not breathing give artifical respiration. If breathing is difficult give oxygen.
Skin: Cleansing with plenty of water, soap and copious amount of water
Eye: Rinse with copious amout of water at least 15 minutes
Upon swallowing: wash out mouth with water provided person is conscious call a physician.

Fire-fighting measures

Extinguishing media: water, mist, dry powder, CO2

Accidental release measures

Wear self-contained breathing apparatus, rubber boots and heavy rubber gloves. Sweep up. Place in abag and hold for waste disposal. Avoid raising dust. Ventilate area and wash spill sipte after material pickup is complete.

Handling and storage

This substance is handled under Strictly Controlled Conditions in accordance with REACH regulation Article 17(3) for on-site isolated intermediates and Article 18(4) transported intermediates. Site documentation to support safe handling arrangements including the selection of engineering, administrative and personal protective equipment controls in accordance with risk-based management systems is available at each Manufacturing site. Written confirmation of application of Strictly Controlled Conditions has been received from affected Distributor and Downstream Manufacturer/User of the Registrant's intermediate.

Exposure controls / personal protection

Personal protective epuipment:
Eyes: protective safety goggles
Skin: Rubber gloves, long sleeved shirts and pants in order to minimize skin exposures. Employees should wash their hand and faces before eating, drinking, or using tabocco products. Workplace concentration should be monitored and if the TL7V for trivalent chromium or dust is exceeded a NIOSH/MSHAG appreoved dust respirator should be worn.
Ventilation: Use local ventilation to control dust and exposure to this product.
Additional protective measures:
Emergency showers and eye wash stations should be made available. Educate and train employees in the safe use and handling of this product

Stability and reactivity

Stability: this is a stable material
Hazardous polymerization: will not occur
Incompatibilities: Oxidizzing and reducing agents may destroy color
Decomposition Temperature: Greater than 392 F (200°C)
Decomposition products: In case of fire CO, CO2, Oxides of nitrogen

Disposal considerations

Product: Incinerate or bury in license facility. Do not discharge into waterways or sewer systems without proper authority
Contaminated packing: Dispose it in a licensed facility. Recommend crushing or other means to prevent unauthorized reuse.
