Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Additional information

The acute toxicity for Daphnia magna was evaluated on the substance under registration in a 48 hours screening test, according to the OECD guideline 202. A single dose was administrated at 1000 mg/l (limit test) with no effect (Mätzler P., 1999). The test was conducted according to internationally accepted testing guidelines, nevertheless the active ingredient percentage is unknown.

Thus, since analytical identification and sample purity were missing in the study on the substance, the result was confirmed by the outcomes on the analogous substance 3a-A(Na) (Jusitification for Read Across is given in Section 13 of IUCLID). The substance shareS the same organic functionalities, but a different salification. This differences has no impact on general water toxicological properties and the percentage and chemical identity of organic impurities are also very similar. Acute toxicity for Daphnia magna was evaluated in the 48 hours screening test, according to the OECD guideline 202. A single dose was administrated at 100 mg/l (limit test).

For all tested substances a value of EC50 greater than 100 mg/l was set and for the substance under registration, in order to a conservative approach, the limit value of 100 mg/l has been taken as representative EC50.
