Executive summary:

The flammability of the test substance was determined according to EU method A10. In this study, the flammability potential was determined by ignition of a cluster with a length of 250 mm, a width of 20 mm with hot flame of a gas burner. The test substance was inflammable within 2 min by the hot flame of a gas burner but did not spread out over a distance of 200 mm within 4 min. Therefore, the test substance does not need to be classified as highly flammable (Schulze, 2006).

The test substance began to melt immediately after it was tried to ignite the pile with a hot flame from a gas burner. There was no inflammation observed within 2 min. Because it was impossible to ignite the test substance the main test had not to be performed.

Executive summary:

The test was performed as described in EU method A10. A non-combustible source and a teclu-burner was used for ignition. The sample of the test substance was carried over onto a certain plate as described in the method. The substance cord was tried to ignite at one end using the burner. The test substance began to melt immediately after it was tried to ignite the pile with a hot flame from a gas burner. There was no inflammation observed within 2 min. Because it was impossible to ignite the test substance the main test had not to be performed. Therefore the test substance is classified to be not inflammable according to EEC-Guideline A.10 ( Keipert, 2001)..

However, the liquid form of the substance was found to have a flash point of 26.4°C, which warrants a classification as Flam.
