Results and discussion

Flammable solids
Test procedure:
burning rate test: preliminary screening test
Remarks on result:
substance does not ignite and propagate combustion either by burning with flame or smouldering along 200 mm of the powder train within the 2 minutes test period

Any other information on results incl. tables

The test substance ignited, but after removal of the ignition source, the flame extinguished immediately and no propagation of combustion was observed.

Applicant's summary and conclusion

Interpretation of results:
not classified based on GHS criteria
Conclusions:
C4 sulfonamido alcohol is not highly flammable.
Executive summary:

The flammability of C4 sulfonamido alcohol was evaluated according to EU Method A.10 "Flammability (solids)", and UN No. ST/SG/AC.10/11/Rev.5 Part 3. Results of the preliminary test indicated that the main study did not have to be performed. This test was performed following EU guidance and according to GLP compliance. It is therefore considered reliable without restriction.
